


Based in Bristol, Seb Cunliffe is a freelance Editor, Producer & Director and heads up his own production company Studio Liff Ltd.

Seb started off as a runner making tea and coffee and sorting mail. Nearly 20 years later, Seb now loves all things TV related and has built up a versatile range of skills: whether it’s directing Love it or List It, a property entertainment programme for Channel 4, or editing Food Fighters, a cookery competition show appearing on Film 4. Seb has filmed abroad, developed, pitched and won programme commissions.

Recently, Seb has produced, directed and edited the You, Me, Garden: Transforming Leeds specials, a huge project involving drones, diggers and an army of volunteers! A few years ago, Seb’s documentary I Want to Change the World, made for the BSL Zone, was the first programme made entirely in BSL to win a Broadcast Award. Seb's current specialisms include obs-doc, travel, sports, fact-entertainment.
Most recently, Seb has just directed his first drama short, Hi Bunny, as part of a London 48 Hour Film Challenge.

Seb believes strongly in integrating BSL filmmaking with mainstream traditions and evolving the nature of Deaf TV content to appeal to a wider audience. When not working, Seb loves travelling, running, hiking, drawing and undertaking micro-creative projects.
